But Who Are We?
Hair Ott – established in 1976, we are a three-salon group based in Hampshire on the South Coast of England. Employing seventy people, our culture has always contained elements of hairdressing education, enabling our salons and team to thrive.
Masterclass Academy – established in 2015, is the apprenticeship academy of Hair Ott. Our 100% first time pass rate for the End Point Assessment puts us in the top 10% of all UK hairdresser training providers.
Your Educators
Otto is a world-class hairdresser that has been in the industry for more than five decades.
Originally from Germany, Otto arrived in London in the early 1970s. Before founding Hair Ott with his wife Barbara in 1976, he worked at the iconic South Molton Street Vidal Sassoon salon and one of the first Toni & Guy's salons in Streatham.
Emma has been hairdressing for the last 20 years. Starting as an Apprentice in Hair Ott, Emma is now the salon groups Creative Director of Colour and leads the Colour education for all new team members.
Emma shares her knowledge and experience with the aim of helping hairdressers become great colourists.
Laura has over 20 years of experience spent running salons and academies. A true professional, she has seen it all, from financial crashes to global pandemics. As a salon owner and local business, she understands what it's like to hit rock bottom, and get up again…and again.
Laura is passionate about the importance of continuous education within the hairdressing industry.
